Aside from sketched Beastie stats and playstyles, from early on we had a plan of different environments we needed to fill with Beasties based on where and when players would encounter them.
Incredible newsletter! Super interested in the Yueffowl/Albrax line for the future, too. It feels quite polarizing amongst the community, though personally Albrax might be an all time favorite of mine c:
Heck yeah! I'm a huge Yueffowl fan. Going from super sci-fi with a ufo reference to super folklore with the flatwoods monster is pretty fun even if a little confusing. I love the birds <3
The point of devs seeing beasties in a different order than players is extremely interesting, because for me personally, Skibble has always felt like the "primary" beastie of the line, with the other two being extensions of it. I can't imagine Skibble not making the cut at all!
Seeing the design evolve the way it did was fun, and I'm glad you're sharing these insights!

Would love to see Webbounce! I love Webbounce but I'm not a huge fan of its Evo, maybe seeing some of the process could turn me around on them?
