It sounds stupid of me, but I completely misunderstood that this was a PVP event and then completely forgot about it after the first time I saw that cool astronomer. I kept thinking I'd come across them in game to interact with and then got hyper-focused on other stuff, either progressing in story-mode or my own interests. I haven't finished the campaign yet so TBH if I had realized, I'd still be reluctant. Then again I did some crazy grinding and way over-leveled before tackling Riven and Kaz. It ended up helping me train some of my Beasties against my Reserves and later on probably saved my bacon when the Sports King tried to give me a stronk Rival, blessed be your censorship jokes lol. I mean I know losing isn't that bad in this game, thank goodness, learning from failures is also far more realistic, but many years of Pokemon taught me to be prepared or get wrecked.
Anyway, I'm SO STOKED that I can have an entirely Bird Team with multiple species HELLO. I just haven't gotten all of them yet. Rest-assured I love them, including Conjarr and Bindiva, I'm coming for them! (And Skullkapi and Yamyth ahhhhh so many amazing Beasties I haven't reached yet.) I have two finalized teams that I switch between (Garood is on one of them; Blitzswift isn't but it was a PAIN IN THE BUTT TO GRAB I sobbed and lost 3 before I recruited 1 so I got plans I just ran into it on accident and spent a couple hours being pissed off. IDK how many people caught one where I did.) I've been creating and planning several more teams, including a Blue/Red, but I realized just now after typing up a crap ton of rambling about them all, that it's going to take me all year to fully train up everyone lol. And that's not even all of the Beasties I have or love. There's just so many but also I went a little crazy getting extras of some. They're little guys.
uhhhh I've become a little obsessed with this game.
was there any specific team comp that was most common, or any interesting data on common pairs / cores?

I'm surprised they didn't take the amount of stars gained into consideration at all here, what was the point of it?
Stars will be used to calculate the rewards that players get (coming soon).
alright I see
